A Welcome message

Having been involved in community based health interventions in remote and underserved communities for more than a decade and observed first hand the vulnerabilities caused by widespread inequalities which pose a threat to the potentials of a vast majority of our children, it’s easy to realize no price is too high to be paid for the preservation of their future.

About the MCHF

Education is a fundamental human right that benefits sustainable development by the development and realization of the human person, and a holistic education should have a health component. Maiden Care Health Foundation (MCHF), was founded to support at-risk children and adolescents living in underserved communities and susceptible to vulnerabilities, to live healthy while pursuing their dreams.

Founded on May 30th, 2025, MCHF builds the capacity of at-risk children to cope with vulnerabilities and attain their potentials through sustained engagement with relevant educational materials and also provision of basic health amenities.

What We Do

Development must benefit and focus on humans, therefore it’s beyond the expansion of income and wealth since income is not an end in itself but rather a means. At MCHF, we understand that most societal problems are behavioral problems which can be solved through behaviour change. So, we prioritize education as a means to achieving socio-cultural shifts in paradigm that will bring about changes in attitudes/lifestyle for better health and well-being of the young population. In engaging health education as a key right of every child  that will unlock the enjoyment of all the other human rights, we prioritize the girl child knowing that building vulnerability coping capacity of the female gender will reduce maternal and infant mortality in future. Also disabusing of young minds from linking drug abuse to pleasure through their engagement with graphics images, videos and books illustrating end results of destructive behaviours will get them better equipped to handle vulnerabilities/negative peer influence.

A development that will have a domino effect of poverty and crime reduction for present and future generations.
